Today, I run Boutique Training Academy.

9 years ago, I was Owner of The Fashion Truck.

15 years ago, I was a Merchant for Henri Bendel.

18 years ago, I was Assistant Merchant at Abercrombie and Fitch.

25 years ago, I dreamed of opening a little store on Main Street. 

Fun Fact, I opened a store in the exact same location that dream was born in.

Long story short, I wanted a boutique when I was 17 years old (maybe you can relate?) I spent the next 11 years navigating through design school at Syracuse University, the merchant training program at Abercrombie and Fitch, and being part of the national re-launch of Henri Bendel as a private label driven accessories store as part of the L Brands company. 

 

I finally got laid off in January of 2011 and told the HR person sitting across from me that they would "See the Fashion Truck on the road very soon!" (bold face lie at the moment... but I actually acted on it after planning it for a year!)

6 months later, I was pulling out of my parents driveway in a 30 foot stepvan we had renovated in the driveway.

5 years and a brick and mortar store later, I wrote a book called "The Ultimate Boutique Handbook." The book has sold thousands of copies and is the #1 book for Starting a Boutique in the world.

It also gave life to a consulting business, Boutique Training Academy. I saw a huge need for retail fundamentals in the Boutique Industry. I created Boutique Training Academy to provide a professional level of retail education to boutique owners like you.
